Jim Gramze is a retired UAW worker, having completed his 30 years with General Motors at age 49. During those 30 years he achieved a B.S. degree from Eastern Michigan University with a major in music, a major in psychology, and a minor in writing. After completing college he played keyboards in the classic rock band Sidekix for 10 years and is amused by having turned down joining both Martha Reeves and Rare Earth; either would have been fine but quitting GM and losing the pension was out of the question. After retiring both from General Motors and performing music professionally, Jim and his wife Cathy moved to Thailand for three years as retired expats and then returned to the USA and their current residence in Hastings, Michigan.
Today Jim is collecting a pension and teaching piano, dabbling at composing, playing philanthropist, blogging, drafting a novel, and writing about himself in the third person.
Jim, what an awesome and interesting life. I love the name of this blog – totally hysterical 🙂 Looking forward to more of your keen insights. I am lovin’ it! Cheers.
Hi Jim, I have nominated you for The Beautiful Blogger Award… Please see the nomination and award here http://theflatgirl.wordpress.com/2013/01/08/beautiful-blogger-award/
Always, Me
I am going to fully cooperate with this even though I believe “The Beautiful Blogger Award” is not real. See my post tomorrow. I’m going to treat it like it matters more than if it were real. I have a personal record number of page hits today and it is barely noon, so regardless this has power to spread awareness of each other and I could not be more grateful. I think you have it backward, the world is flat and you are bursting with love — easy to get confused.
Side note: I think I know your real name. I will write you within the next few days to tell you what I think it is and how I know. It could be a pseudonym but if not you should know in case it matters to you. I didn’t look for it, you gave it to me perhaps unknowingly.
I understand your sentiments on the “Award”… as I have my own thoughts. However, I do believe it is the thought that counts.
I look forward to your communication.. Always Me

Thanks again,
Tony
I’ve been really busy the past few days. I have been getting e-mail notices of your blog. I hope you work out your problems soon. I’m looking forward to catching up soon.
Jim Gramze,

Quite a fascinating life you have lead – and a fascinating person you are;)
Thank you for checking out my blog. I look forward to checking out yours as well;)
The “light” pictures on your blog are rather interesting. Your gravitar could have a clickable link to your blog instead of the text you currently provide, as mine does for me. If you don’t see how to do that I can likely provide simple instructions on how to do so.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I am not the most techhie blogger – or person, for that matter. I would love simple instructions – only if you have the time.
thank you so much:)
I made you a video of how to put an icon and link on your Gravitar. Really it is available for anyone to view on my blog. Here’s the address to save you some steps getting there:

I hope this helps!
Hi Jim! Hope you don’t mind me following — I’m a music lover, too!
The more the merrier!
